About us

Our Story

It all begins with a question.

What does a person do when they believe they are facing injustice but do not know where to turn?

For some people, the answer seems obvious: consult a lawyer, contact an institution, look up the applicable rules, or file a complaint.

But that obvious answer is not everyone's reality.

For a person who does not master legal language, who has few resources, who lives in a remote area, who fears the consequences of reporting, or who simply does not know which institutions are competent, seeking justice can become a genuine obstacle course.

It is from this reflection that the idea of Justice For All Foundation gradually emerged.

Why create a Foundation?

  • Because between the law and the citizen, there is sometimes an immense need for information and guidance.

  • Because a person who does not know their rights may accept as normal what should not be.

  • Because an isolated victim may need a first listening ear before even knowing what steps to take.

  • Because professionals possess knowledge that can also serve to educate and raise awareness in communities.

  • Because preventing an injustice can sometimes be as important as trying to repair it.

The Foundation was therefore conceived as a space capable of bringing together several dimensions:

information
education
listening
guidance
awareness
prevention
skills mobilization
cooperation

From Canada toward an international vision

The creation of the Foundation in Canada constitutes the institutional starting point of this vision. Canada has a legal, institutional, and associative tradition that allows many organizations to contribute to education, solidarity, and the protection of rights.

But our thinking does not stop at Canadian borders. In different regions of the world, obstacles to justice can take different forms: geographic remoteness, lack of information, economic vulnerability, discrimination, violence, weak referral mechanisms, exploitation, or fear of reprisals.

Our ambition is therefore to progressively build an organization capable of thinking internationally while acting responsibly at the local level.

A story still being written

The story of Justice For All Foundation should not be presented as a story already accomplished. It is under construction.

Every member who joins the Foundation, every professional who shares their experience, every training organized, every person properly guided, every partnership genuinely built, and every community reached constitutes a new page of this story.

We want that, in several years, our story can be told not only through our intentions, but through documented actions, measurable results, and lives positively touched.

Why "Justice For All"?

Because an inaccessible right becomes a fragile right.

The name Justice For All Foundation was not chosen by chance. It carries a vision. We believe that justice must not depend solely on level of education, income, social background, place of residence, or a person's ability to understand complex procedures.

Saying "Justice For All" is affirming that human dignity has no social category.

Some people immediately know where to find a lawyer.

Others do not even know that help may exist.

Some know how to fill out an administrative form.

Others give up in front of a document they do not understand.

Some know how to search for legal decisions and texts.

Others do not sufficiently master the language used by the administration.

Justice therefore cannot be truly accessible if information remains incomprehensible to part of the population. Making law understandable is already a way of bringing justice closer to the citizen.
